The Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L also has a slightly longer focal range. Stop down to f/8 and you may not even notice any difference in corner sharpness either. It doesn’t have IS or weather sealing, but its focal range is more than enough for residential real estate and it performs almost as well as the Canon EF 16-35mm f/4 in terms of center sharpness.
